Tony Plohetski is a national award-winning journalist in Texas whose reporting and storytelling is featured in print, digital and television platforms. He has chronicled some of the state’s most significant events, prompted indictments and new state laws through investigative and accountability reporting, and his groundbreaking scoops have helped shape local and state politics. He joined the Austin American-Statesman in 2000, and since 2013, he has worked in partnership with KVUE, Austin’s ABC affiliate, where he is the station’s senior reporter.

Alexis Lee is a business, event, communications, and strategic planning professional. Currently the Program Manager for The William Magee Institute for Student Wellbeing where she manages and participates in the operation and execution of programs, activities and initiatives including producing and co-hosting on The Mayo Lab Podcast. With an array of experience at the corporation, non-profit and independent levels, Alexis brings a creative, innovative perspective to the teams she works with.

Logan Kirkland is a photographer and documentarian from Tuscaloosa, Alabama who has spent most of his adult life in Mississippi. He focuses on stories that provide perspective and a deeper look into a person’s life, with the goal of providing thought-provoking presentations for his audience. Logan has won awards for his writing, photography, and videography, which include a Robert F. Kennedy Award Human Rights Award, runner-up for Mississippi Associated Press Photograph of the Year in 2018.

Avery Hilliard was born and raised in Memphis and graduated from Tennessee Wesleyan University (TWU) where she played volleyball and studied communications. She later attended Ole Miss for her master’s degree in integrated marketing communication. Now,  she is a morning reporter and weekend morning anchor for WTVA 9 News in Tupelo.

IMC – Class of 2022

Theron Fly currently serves as the Director of SEO & Implementation at Neon Canvas, a fledgling digital marketing agency based out of Memphis. He oversees a team responsible for Search Engine Optimization and Google Ads, as well as overseeing the company’s new client onboarding processes. In his six years with Neon Canvas, he’s helped the company grow to one that is home to more than 40 employees that serve nearly 300 clients from coast to coast with a full range of digital marketing services.

Katherine (Katie) Satchfield is a Corporate Communications Specialist for StationServ, the leading provider of petroleum equipment sales, service, compliance, testing and construction. 

IMC – Class of 2023

Austin Carter is an Oxford native and is a 2017 graduate of the Integrated Marketing Communications program. He currently resides in Oxford with his wife Isabelle, son Benson, and golden retriever Bailey. Austin has worked for CoreLogic since 2020 where he currently is a Sales Executive of Mortgage Origination Workflow Solutions supporting regional and national lenders.

His favorite course in IMC was Account Planning with Professor Chris Sparks.

MarKeicha Dickens

MarKeicha Dickens is a two-time University of Mississippi alumna having received both her degree in journalism and Master of Arts in Higher Education (’18). While enrolled in her Master’s program MarKeicha worked in several offices across campus including the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs office as well as the Career Center. Upon graduation, she held roles at the University of Northern Colorado and the University of Georgia. Currently, she serves as a People Planner for GroupM, WPP’s Media Investment Group, and one of the world’s leading media investment companies.

Tyler White is the owner of TeeWhites, He founded the company in his youth ministers garage his senior year of high school. Today, TeeWhites offers bulk order custom tee shirts, apparel, and promotional items to companies around the globe. TeeWhites is collegiate licensed with Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Southern Miss. While working on his undergraduate degree, White placed first in the Landshark Tank Business Pitch Competition, pitching TeeWhites. He currently a J.D. Candidate at The University of Mississippi School of Law.

JOUR – Class of 2021

Jacob Batte is the Director of News & Media Relations for the University of Mississippi, his alma mater. He previously managed media relations for Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, for six years. As a professional journalist, he won awards for his coverage of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill aftermath, the oilfield industry and coastal land loss. His work has also appeared in Reuters and the Huntsville Times. He received an MBA from Nicholls in 2020.

Ariel Cobbert

Ariel Cobbert is an interdisciplinary artist based in Memphis. After graduation, she worked for The Commercial Appeal as a staff photojournalist. She has also worked with clients like CNN, NBC News, The Huffington Post, The New Tork Times, and more. Most recently, she has been working with the Brooks Museum on art installations and leading photography workshops.

JOUR – Class of 2018

Reed Shaw is the current Market Manager for Peg Broadcasting.  He oversees day-to-day operations for 10 radio stations in 3 markets in middle Tennessee.  Before joining Peg Broadcasting, he worked for iHeartMedia for almost four years.  His last role for iHeart was Strategic Media Manager.  After graduating from Ole Miss, he attended the University of Tennessee for his Master’s Program in Journalism and New Electronic Media.

Jill Graves

Jill Yoe Graves is the owner and co-founder of Broadcast Studio on the Oxford Square. After graduating from Ole Miss she went to SCAD, working on an MFA in graphic design. Before returning to Oxford during the pandemic, she lived in Berlin, working for JC Information Management. 

The Broadcast Studio is a place where she houses creatives for video and podcast projects, including local musicians, and more.

JOUR – Class of 2003

Jared Redding has been working in sports media for the last seven years, ranging from college to high school athletics. He currently serves as an Ole Miss reporter and insider for 247Sports, a CBS Sports affiliate. Before his current post, Jared was a student communications and game ops specialist for the Ole Miss Athletics department, while also juggling sportswriting opportunities with the Oxford Eagle, Scorebook Live (Sports Illustrated affiliate) and the now defunct Southern Elite Sports.
