We are the largest undergraduate integrated marketing communications program in the country.

The mission of the School of Journalism and New Media is to excel in educating a diverse body of students in journalism and integrated marketing communications. Our graduates lead major news organizations and marketing firms, continuing a proud campus legacy that's just beginning.

We are dedicated to supporting our students' success through scholarships. Our students enhance their resumes with travel and internship opportunities, and to help them stand out, we are expanding our student experience fund. This fund eases the financial burden of relocating for internships and jobs, allowing students to focus on their future without financial worries. As we continue to grow, your support is more crucial than ever.

Funding Priorities

Scholarships turn dreams into reality by providing access to top-tier education, regardless of financial means. Scholarships and fellowships for journalism and integrated marketing communications students do more than remove financial barriers and reward excellence. Named scholarships carry the endorsement of the donor and celebrate their legacy of success.

Student Experiences

We are committed to enriching student experiences beyond the classroom. Our support includes study abroad programs each May with our professors, in-depth reporting trips, and year-round internships. Through the Student Experience Fund, we aim to ensure every student has the opportunity to expand their knowledge by helping cover travel and housing costs. Your support can make these transformative experiences accessible to all students.

Student Media

From day one, our students dive into real-world experiences through our student media. Employers consistently praise their dedication and the skills they develop in our student newspaper, yearbook, news broadcast, and radio station. As we celebrate 20 years of the S. Gale Denley Student Media Center, we are excited to look ahead to the next 20 years. Now is the perfect time to support the SMC.

Jordan Center for Journalism Advocacy and Innovation

Established by a generous gift from the Jordan Education Foundation, the center supports programming, public policies, events, and research to build public trust in journalism. A key initiative, the Life Skills Institute, supplements high school curricula with practical skills and lifelong education, emphasizing the importance of a vibrant press. To continue our mission, we seek matching gifts and contributions.
