SOJNM Alumni

Alumni and faculty laugh and talk to each other.

Stay Connected, Shape Our Future

Even after graduation, our alumni remain integral members of the Farley Family. Whether enjoying football tailgates in the fall or returning to campus to mentor current students, graduates of our journalism and integrated marketing communications programs can stay connected with our community for life.

Ways to Get Involved

There are countless ways to add to your legacy at the School of Journalism and New Media.

Membership in the Ole Miss Alumni Association is open to everyone. All graduates, former students, and fans are eligible to become active members. Association dues help practically every area of the university—from student scholarships to faculty awards to athletics.

Each semester, we organize an alumni coffee chat event to connect current students with alumni from various career fields. Additionally, we provide opportunities to engage with classes and organizations in the SOJNM, both in person and via Zoom. Are you interested? Reach out to MacKenzie Ross, msross@olemiss.edu, about how to get connected.

We might be biased, but we host one of the best tailgates! Join us during the 2024 season:

  • Saturday, September 21 vs. Georgia Southern
  • Saturday, September 28 vs. Kentucky (Homecoming!)
  • Saturday, October 26 vs. Oklahoma
  • Saturday, November 9 vs. Georgia

All tailgates open at least 3 hours before kickoff and are located on the front lawn of Farley Hall.

There are multiple ways to give back to the SOJNM. Giving back to your alma mater by contributing to scholarships and other financial needs is a meaningful way to invest in the future of our student body. Want to learn more? Reach out to Sloane Reid, sloane@olemiss.edu, about how to get connected.
