Position Summary and Essential Duties

This is a 10-week assignment for students pursuing a college degree. Assignments are directly related to the intern’s academic degree. Under direct supervision, performs duties as assigned. Students participate in a number of organized events providing visibility into the overall operations of FedEx.

Job Specific Information

Full-time internship opportunity available from June 2017 to August 2017.
Under close supervision, the successful candidate will assist with a strategic focus area within one of the following organizations: Healthcare Product Development, Supply Chain and Market Development, Small Business Strategy, Innovations, Community and Relationship Management Team (FedEx Cares Team), Corporate Communications, Express and Express Freight Service Products, Freight Solutions Marketing, Sponsorship and Interactive Marketing, Global Brand Marketing – Brand Experience, Digital Marketing Platforms, Strategic Alliances, Customer Data Access, Retail Marketing or Digital Access Marketing.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

Ability to synthesize large volumes of data (quantitative and qualitative).
Strong analytical, communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and work in a high-pressure environment.

Students currently enrolled in a similar graduate level program may also be considered.

Applications are now being accepted for the Magazine Internship Program 2017, sponsored by the American Society of Magazine Editors. We ask you to share this information with your students. This information is also posted at Please note that students must submit all application materials on the website.

The Magazine Internship Program usually gives preference to students who have been recommended by academic departments and career-guidance offices over other applicants from the same school. Colleges and universities are encouraged to nominate no more than two students to apply to the Magazine Internship Program. A letter of recommendation should be included with the student’s application.

The Tab Fellowship is an ambitious and rigorous remote internship that teaches talented students how to write and report to a high level. Fellows work remotely on stories with our professional editors in New York, who have written for Newsweek, VICE and The Guardian. They write three stories per month, varying from breaking news to long-form interviews, and they are given extensive guidance and training on how to execute those formats and how to produce stories to a professional standard. Participants also learn about media law, journalistic ethics and other areas of knowledge that will help them in their writing. Tab Fellows communicate with our team of paid editors in New York at least weekly, during which their performance is assessed and they are given feedback on their stories and how they can improve. Job Brief
