2020 Graduates: Morning convocation will be held on Saturday, May 8 at 8:00 a.m. in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
2021 Graduates: Morning convocation will be held on Saturday, May 1 at 8:00 a.m. in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.
In order to keep our graduates and their families safe and in compliance with current government orders and public health guidance, each graduate will receive a certain allotment of tickets for morning Convocation, as well as for their respective school or college ceremonies. We anticipate that ticket allotments will vary by school/college based on the number of graduates and the capacity of venues. More information regarding ticket allocations, deadlines, dates, and times will be shared via email with all graduates in the near future.
The university has developed its planning for Commencement 2020 and 2021 in compliance with current government orders and public health guidance. Venue capacities are subject to change dependent upon evolving COVID-19 restrictions and protocols.
At this time, all COVID-19 protocols and procedures will be observed during Commencement 2020 and Commencement 2021 including wearing cloth face coverings and adhering to social distancing. Additionally, each venue will be cleaned between individual ceremonies and venue capacities will be observed.
All caps and gowns should be ordered online. That site will be live in the coming weeks, and we will share that information with graduates and their families.

Individuals whose degrees were conferred in December 2019, May 2020 and August 2020 are considered graduates of the Class of 2020. If you need to confirm which graduating class you are a member of, please contact the Office of Registrar (https://registrar.olemiss.edu/).
Individuals whose degrees were conferred in December 2020 as well as May 2021 and August 2021 candidates are considered the Class of 2021. If you need to confirm which graduating class you are a member of, please contact the Office of Registrar (https://registrar.olemiss.edu/).
All graduates in the Class of 2020 will be required to RSVP for morning Convocation as well as school or college ceremonies. More information about that process will be shared with graduates and their families as details are finalized.
Graduates in the Class of 2021 do not need to RSVP for morning Convocation or any school or college ceremonies.
