Dr. Kathleen Wickham, associate professor, reviews research completed by Denea Powell, a McNair Scholar, at the conclusion of the month-long research mentoring program on campus. Denea is a student at Tougaloo College, majoring in humanities and mass communication. The Robert McNair program is a national program designed to encourage under-represented students to consider graduate school and careers that require a Ph.D. Ole Miss hosted about 20 students in 2013.
