WTVC/News Channel 9 Announces Three Openings

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR:  Needed for fast-paced newscasts. Knowledge of Ross Overdrive Automation preferred.  Other duties will include creation of graphics, audio operation and studio maintenance.  The right candidate is a newsroom professional with an even temper and a can-do attitude who is dedicated to quality news production.  Two years of experience is preferred.

TRAFFIC REPORTER:  Great opportunity for a combination morning traffic reporter and multi-media journalist. Ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent on-air skills, including experience with chroma wall presentation; outstanding fact gathering and story telling skills; the ability to turn quality packages under tight deadlines as an MMJ; and an eagerness to make website and social media contributions.  At least two years of previous TV news experience preferred and a four-year college degree required.

MORNING ANCHOR/REPORTER:  Needed for station’s top-rated and growing morning newscast.  Ideal candidate will demonstrate the full range of anchor and reporter skills.  Will be expected to lead the way in our “new, now, next” morning philosophy; be a minute-by-minute contributor to web and social media; shoot, write and edit top quality and special packages when necessary.  At least two years of previous anchor experience preferred, and a four-year college degree required.
