Phillip Davis Bryant, 74, owner and chief appraiser of Bryant Appraisal Associates, died Feb. 2, 2012, in Tupelo. Mr. Bryant was 74.
He was born in Baltimore, Md., and served as a corporal in the U.S. Army. He received his journalism degree at Ole Miss in 1962 and his law degree in 1966. Mr. Bryant was elected at 21 and served his first term as Representative of Lafayette County and served two terms in the Mississippi Legislature from 1960-1968.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Bryant of Oxford.
He was a member of College Hill Presbyterian Church and is buried in Oxford Memorial Cemetery.
